DOMUS COMELIANA

Photography is a wonderful world. It's an indescribable feeling when you are able to capture the human being essence with an unspoken language and by using your own empathy.


My photos are not only shots and camera: there is all my life experiences, my studies as well as my imagination which creatively moves my soul.
I was fascinated when I was contacted to do a photoshoot for Domus Comeliana as this is the only historical property located in the middle of Pisa's monumental architecture. I am a photographer from Pisa, so you can imagine my overwhelming joy to be able to see this stunning location in the middle of the city of Pisa, minutes away from Piazza del Duomo and Unesco Heritage since 1987. With its unique setting and romantic gardens, it's a perfect location for those who want to live their dream wedding in a magical spot where history and nature are in perfect harmony.


I captured the beauty of this location when I went there for my first site visit: statutes and vases, historical alleys, small stone walls, tall plants and magnolia's. An incredible terrace paved with typical tiles from Tuscany as well as the stunning view of theleaning tower and the panoramic walk on Piazza del Duomo.


While I was walking through the Villa I noticed a beautiful natural light which gently filters through the big Sala degliUlivi and thought that these stunning features would have allowed me to create emotional shots for those couples who wish to dream big: I turned and saw the stunning artwork of painter Carlo Sbisà as well as a particular reflexion on the glass door. In that exact moment I thought I was living in a movie scene: I thought of some exclusive shoots I could take of couples who would have been the main protagonist together with the reflexion of the leaning tower of Pisa in the background.


I just had to find a way to harmoniously link the two essences: the one of the bride and groom and the one of the location to be able to write the final scene as in the movies.
But not just a common final scene! I love the ones which end with a question mark, the ones that leave you breathless and daydreaming.


We start dreaming and flying with our imagination right from this point.
